Atomic absorption spectrophotometer is generally composed of four parts, namely light source (monochromatic sharp line radiation source), sample atomizer, monochromator and data processing system (including photoelectric converter and corresponding detection device).

There are two main types of atomizer, that is, flame atomizer and electrothermal atomizer. There are many kinds of flames, and the air acetylene flame is widely used nowadays. Graphite furnace atomizer is widely used in electrothermal atomizer, so atomic absorption spectrophotometer, flame atomic absorption spectrophotometer and atomic absorption spectrophotometer with graphite furnace. The atomization temperature of the former is between 2100 and 2400 degrees, and the latter is between 2900 and 3000 degrees.
